Project:
Naan Staap Essex
Location:
Southend-on-Sea
Details:
Naan Staap Southend-on-Sea branch, designed with a vibrant interior scheme inspired by the energy, colour and character of South Asian street food culture. The concept creates a playful twist between Indian and Pakistani influences, bringing together cultural references, bold graphics and contemporary finishes to form a lively and memorable dining experience.
We developed the interior around a warm lighting strategy and a vibrant colour concept, using lime green, burnt orange, black and neutral tones to give the space a strong visual identity. Patterned floor tiles, corrugated wall panels, tiled surfaces and bespoke artwork were carefully combined to create interesting and unique finishes throughout the restaurant.
The design celebrates the casual spirit of street food while giving the brand a fresh and modern setting. From the illustrative murals and Urdu-inspired graphics to the decorative lighting and layered material palette, every detail was considered to reflect the warmth, humour and flavour of Naan Staap. The result is a bold, welcoming and highly distinctive interior that supports both quick casual dining and a relaxed social atmosphere.
